DRUIDISM
Linden's Pride Juvenile Lodge held its fortnightly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall. Roslyn, where a good attendance was presided over by P.A. Bro. E. Newall in the absence> of the A.D. through illness. An interesting item was a demonstration of the art of self-defence given by an old and enthusiastic lodge member on leave from Burnham. The officers for the next six months are as follows:—J .P.A., Bro. E. Newall: A.D., Bro. I. Newall; V.A.D., Bro. I. Bell; conductor, Bro. G. Hyslop; A.D. bards, Bros. Gilbert Hyslop and Cockroft; 1.G., Bro. Muirhead; 0.G., Bro. Sykes; V.A.D. bards, Bros. Randle and Holdaway. All these brethren were installed the previous night when the trophies won by the lodge for the previous year were presented on be- . half of the Juvenile Council by the president, P.D.P. Bro. W. H. Leßrun, assisted by P.A. Bro. E. Thompson. Arch Druid Bro. W. Bryan presided over the regular meeting of the Lily of the Valley Lodge, No. 11, in the Albany 1 Street Hall. Welcome visitors were D.P. Bro. I. Anderson, No. 1 District. P.D.P. Bro. H. Brockie, secretary of Ivanhoe Lodge, and Arch Druid Bro. Driver, also of Ivanhoe. P.A. Bro. H. Green and P.A. Bro. H. Winter, delegates to the U.F.S. Dispensary Committee, tendered a report. Sick pay amounting to £8 16s 8d was passed for payment. The entertainment r of the hall tenants of kindred societies will take place at the next meeting on June 18. The installing officer, D.P. Bro. Anderson, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. Brockie, installed the following officers into their respective chairs:—J .P.A. Druid, Bro. W. Bryan; A.D., Bro. Thompson; V.A.D., Bro. Struthers; treasurer, Bro. Ingle (re-elec-ted); M.C., Bro. H. Green (re-elected); A.D bards, Bros. H. Winter and T. Moore; 1.G., Bro. W. Henderson; 0.G., Bro. Holdaway; V.A.D. bards, Bros. Carr and Aitken; auditors. P.G.P. Bro. Walker and P.D.P. Bro.. J. Falds (re-elected).
