PRINCE BERNHARD
ATTITUDE TO GERMANY “BITTERNESS IN HIS HEART” (Rec. 0,45 a.m.) NEW ?ORK, June 13. Tlje Boston correspondent of the New York Times says that Prince Bernhard, in an interview, said he had nothing but bitterness in his heart for his former fatherland. He declared that the German people have gone so far wrong under the Nazis that it will be virtually impossible for the old Germany of culture and learning to be reborn even after the Reich’s defeat. “ The Germans had their chance before Hitler came to power. Since they did not take it—since they have gone along with what has been done—l think they must take what is coming to them when Germany is defeated.”
