RUSSIA AND FINLAND
NAZI POLICY HARDENING NEW ECONOMIC DEMANDS BACKED BY TROOP MOVEMENTS (Rec. 2 a.m.) LONDON, June 13. Reports reached London to-day from several European capitals regarding relations between Germany and Russia. Despatches from Ankara say it is expected 1 there that Germany will shortly make further economic demands on Moscow, with the backing of considerable forces on the Soviet frontier. From Helsinki, the capital of Finland, it is stated that Germany is putting forward farreaching demands. The correspondent who was telephoning this report to Berne, in Switzerland, was abruptly cut off. Another report says that Swiss diplomats expect important developments in Germany’s relations with Finland.
