THE EAST OF ENGLAND FIELDS COVERED LIKE SNOW . | LONDON, June 12. A German raider last night dropped thousands of leaflets over a village in the east of England, covering the fields like snow. The leaflets, printed on both sides in English, dealt with the Battle of the Atlantic, and quoted facts given by President Roosevelt and figures of British tonnage sunk. An official communique states: Enemy activity during the* night was not on a heavy scale Bombs were dropped at widely-separated points in many districts in England.
