A UNITED FRONT
OPPONENTS OF HITLER FIGHT AGAINST AGGRESSION "UNTIL VICTORY IS WON” RUGBY, June 12. A meeting was held in London at St. James’s Palace, at which were present the Prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary, the Lord Privy Seal, the Dominion and Colonial Secretaries, the Air Minister, the Foreign Undersecretary, the High Commissioners for Canada, Australia. New Zealand and South Africa, the Secretary of State for India, the Prime Ministers and Foreign Secretaries of the Governments of Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Luxembourg, Norway and Poland, the Greek Minister in London, the Netherlands Prime Minister and the Minister in London the Jugoslav Minister in London, and General de Gaulle’s representatives. The following resolution was adopted:—“ The Governments of the United Kingdom, Canada. Australia. New Zealand and South Africa, the Government of Belgium, the provisional Czechoslovak Government, the Governments of Greece. Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway. Poland and Jugoslavia, and the representatives of General de Gaulle, leader of Free Frenchmen,- engaged k together in the fight against aggression, resolved: “1. That they will continue the struggle against German or. Italian oppression until victory is won, and will mutually assist each other in the struggle to the utmost of their respective capacities. “ 2. There can be no settled peace or prosperity as long as free peoples are coerced by violence into submission to domination by Germany or her associates. or live under.the threat of such coercion.
“3. The only true basis of enduring peace is the willing' co-operation of free peoples in the world in which, relieved of the menace of aggression, all may enjoy economic and social security. “4. It is their intention to work together and with other free peoples, both in war and peace, to this end ”
