At a meeting of the Napier branch of the New Zealand Labour Party a resolution was passed as follows —" That the secretary be instructed to communicate with the Acting Prime Minister protesting against the formation of a Coalition Government.” Representatives of the Uruguayan Government have been in New Zealand during the past week. They intended to purchase 15 Romney rams and at least three of these are 1o be bought from Mr J. G. Alexander’s stud at Maxwell.
