NATIONAL SAVINGS
THE FLAG COMPETITION EDENDALE IN THE LEAD (Special): WELLINGTON. June 13. The tenth fortnightly period of the National Savings flag competition closed on June 7 with Raglan, in the Hamilton postal district, recording a meteoric rise .in the , percentage of National Savings -depositors to population. In other districts the order of the leading towns is unchanged. Eddndale. in the Invercargill district, with 81 per cent, of depositors to, population, retains the leading position for the Dominion. The leading- towns in.the various postal districts are as'follows:—- Ruawii (Auckland district). Picton (Blenheim). Waiau (Christchurch). Owaka (Dunedin) , Te Araroa (Gisborne). Hokitika (Greymouth). • Raglan -• (Hamilton), Edendale (Invercargill). Porangahati (Napier). Murchison (Nelson). Stratford (New 'Plymouth). sKurow (Oamaru). Pongaroa (Palmerston North). Thames (Thames). Geraldine (Timaru), Ohakune Junction .(Wanganui), Featherston (Wellington), Westport (Westport).
