AN UNREPENTANT NAZI
THE TRUTH ABOUT HESS INTENDED TO RETURN HOME LONDON, June 11. “ I am in a position to tell you the truth regarding Hess, because it will help you to realise what a fight we must make to break the power of the Nazi gang,” said the Lord Provost of Glasgow, Sir Patrick Dollan, in a speech. “ Hess came as an unrepentant Nazi and is still a loyal supporter of Hitler. He believed he could remain in Scotland for two days and discuss peace proposals with a certain group, after which he would receive petrol and maps enabling him to return to Germany. That is the genuine truth. I understand that Hess is quite annoyed because he was taken prisoner.”
