TORPEDOED VESSEL
NO MUNITIONS CARRIED THREE LIFEBOATS MISSING WASHINGTON. (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) . June 11. The Maritime Commission said that the Robin Moor, of 5000 tons, earned only general cargo and no munitions. The nassenger list totalled 40. The vessel sank 700 miles south of Cape Verde, and' thb crew and passengers transferred to four lifeboats. The Osorio rescued one 800 miles from the position of the sinking. Rescued members of the crew say that the three other lifeboats carried 35 persons, including three women and one child. The commander of the Brazilian ship Tamandare found pieces of baggage, including a suitcase and children’s toys.
