COASTAL SHOWERS PROBABLE Forecast For Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was Issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Variable winds, with south-wester-lies freshening at times. Weather cool and changeable, with periods of showers, more especially on coast. , Further Outlook.—Changeable. Weather in Dunedin.— The weather in Dunedin yesterday morning was fine and mild, with a light north-easterly breeze, but in the afternoon the temperature dropped, and late in the evening rain fell. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees. The barometer rose steadily during the day, and at midnight the reading was 29.30 Inches (992 millibars). , The following are the meteorological observations>taken yesterday at the Daily Times Office: — 8 a.m. Noon. 6 p.m. m’nt.
