“YOUNG PEOPLE”
With rollicking entertainment Its keynote, "Young People,” has beep called Shirley Temple’s most enjoyable picture. Jack Oakle and Charlotte Greenwood are co-starred with her in the 20th CenturyFox film, which comes on Friday to the State Theatre. Joyfully musical, the new film also boasts an unusual story. Charlotte and Jack adopt Shirley and, though they achieve success with their vaudeville act. they decide to retire on a New England farm. Their life in the small town is depicted as the film moves swiftly to the stirring conclusion. Paced by five new and catchy'tunes by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren, ” Young People ” has been labelled a show full of gay good time. Others featured in a fine supporting cast include Arleen Whelan, George Montgomery and Kathleen Howard. Allan Dwan directed and Harry Joe Brown was producer.
