ENGAGEMENTS

The engagement is announced- between Private Alfred John, second son of Mr and Mrs. J. C. Williams, of Otekaike, and Elizabeth Daphne, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Haugh, cf " Bassalt,". Duntroon. The engagement is announced of William Archibald, second son of Mr and Mrs G. F. McKellar, of St. Clair, Dunedin, to Cecilia Emily Gordon, second daughter of the late Mr S. G. Holmes and of Mrs M.. E. Holmes, of "Mount Harding," Methven. The engagement is announced between Stewart, third son.of Mr. and Mrs Walmsley, of Mornington, and Margaret Evelyn, youngest daughter of Mr James Robertson, of Middlemarch and the late Mrs Robertson. The engagement is announced between George Henry, elder sen of the late Mr and Mrs C. Carey, of Port Chalmers, and Evelyn Margaret, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. McDonnell, of Galloway, Central; Otago. Notices oi engagements must be signed bv one at least of the principals, and also by a justice of the peace, or a minister of religion, or an agent of the Otago Daily Times, as a guarantee of genuineness.
