UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 21. Fine weather and dry, well-grassed fields made nlaying conditions excellent when the New Zealand University hockey tournament was commenced to-day. In the men’s section every university college in the Dominion is represented. Massey College, holder of the Seddon Stick, is defending its title. Canterbury and Otago are the only southern colleges to enter teams in the women’s section Results:— Men's Section.—Auckland A 8. Victoria nil: Otago 3, Canterbury 2: Auckland B 1, Massey College nil. Women’s Section.—Otago 5, Auckland B nil: Auckland A 1. Canterbury nil.
