EPIDEMIC WANING
SPINAL MENINGITIS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 21. The Minister of Education, Mr H. G. R. Mason, in a statement to the press to-day. said he was very pleased to be informed by the Minister of Health, Mr A, H. Nordmeyer. that the epidemic of spinal fneningitis in the north appeared to be waning, and it was thought likely that the schools in the North Auckland district, other than those in the Bay of Islands County, could be reopened at the beginning of the next term An official announcement would be made at the end of the week.
