THE KING’S APPRECIATION
(Rec tl p.iu.i RUGBY May 20 The King has sent a message to the Nyasalsnd Legislative Council thr. ugh the Secretary of States for Colonies Lcrd Lloyd, as follows; "I have learned with deep appreciation of the resolution of loyalty and devotion passed by the Legislative Council on the occasion ol the fiftieth anniversary cf the proclamation whereby the territories now comprising Nyasaland were formally brought under the protection of Great Britain lam fortified by the knowledge that the people ol Nyasa land, in common with all the people through ut the British Commonwealth of Nations, are united in their deter mination to ensure the triumph ol the cause for which we have taken up arms and 1 look forward with confidence to the victory which we shall share with you.
