PATRIOTIC EFFORTS
PLEA FOR CO-ORDINATION MAXIMUM EFFECT ESSENTIAL (P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 21. A plea for the closer co-ordination of patriotic effort in the present crisis was made by the Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall), when speaking at a welcome luncheon given to Lady Newall and his Excellency by the Central Committee of the combined patriotic societies of Auckland. “ Individual efforts are not enough,” his Excellency said. “They must be unified and co-ordinated if they are to have the maximum effect, and the present crisis demands the maximum. Nothing less will do."
