MAINLY FAIR TO FINE

Forecast For Otago.— The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was Issued- at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:—' Light to fresh winds from a. westerly quarter. Weather fair to' fine, but scattered rain developing again ~ to-night. Temperatures moderate. Sea slight. Further Outlook. —Winds from a westerly quarter and weather mainly fair. Dominion Forecast. —Fair east of the main ranges. Otherwise scattered light or moderate fain. Temperatures mild, in the north, cool in the south. Weather in Dunedin.— The weather was fine on Saturday wtih practically no wind. Temperatures were generally mild, the maximum being 57 degrees. Yesterday there was a f moderate north-east breeze, which veered to the north-west, and afternoon temperatures were Warm, the maximum being 68 degrees. The sun shone brightly, but there were passing clouds. The barometer fell steadily to 29.80 inches (1009 millibars), but was rising again at midnight.
