MERCHANDISE MARKET NEW SEASON'S HONEY Supplies of the new season's honey are now coming to hand in ones and twos pottles, lib lars liquid, and Jib pats. English Salt A shipment of English salt arrived on the market last week. Paper Prices Advance An increase has taken place In the price of paper bags, satchel bags, and fruit and cake bags. Slam Rice A parcel of Siam rice arrived last week. The rice market has an upward tendency. Chemico Cleanser The shortage of tin has affected supplies of Chemico Cleanser, which is now short on the local market Demand for Biscuits There is a shortage of biscuits on the local market, and merchants are finding a difficulty in securing their requirements. Marrowfat Peas The local market is now receiving supplies of the new season's marrowfat peas. Walnut Meat A shipment of walnut meat, amber pieces, has reached the market. Shipment of Whisky A further shipment of case and bulk whiskv has just come to hand, and also a shipment of Australian wines. UPWARD TREND LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE (Ree 5 p.m.) LONDON, May 9. Royal Air Force successes gave fresh heart to Stock Exchange markets, and most price movements tended upwards in spite of the paucity of business.
