“ Keep Your City Clean ” was the slogan of the Wanganui Retailers’ Association, commented the president (Mr G. E. Bennett), when the question of rubbish bins was under discussion at a meeting of the executive. Mr Bennett added that he had noticed that the streets were cleaner in the mornings, It was only a matter of habit, and once people got into a routine they would not leave rubbish lying about the streets.
