DOMINATION OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.—It is reported from Jugoslavia that British forces have occupied Lagosta Island, in the central Adriatic, whose harbours would constitute bases for British and Greek submarines preying on Italian shipping. Lagosta, an island containing, it is stated in the cable message, three, harbours and an aerodrome, was a Dalmatian island until it became Italian by the Treaty of Rapallo (1920).
