DEPARTURE FOR BRITAIN A FAREWELL MESSAGE (Per United Press Association), WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. A farewell message to the people of New Zealand was issued to-night on behalf of Viscount Galway, .who
has now relinquished the office of Governor-General and has left the pominion on his return to Great Britain. Simultaneously with his departure a proclamation was gazetted announcing that the Chief Justice,' Sir Michael Myers, had assumed the office of Administrator of New Zealand. He will act in this capacity till Viscount Galway’s successor, Sir Cyril Newall, arrives in the Dominion and is swornin as Governor-General. Sir Cyril Newall was recently reported to have arrived in Canada on his way to New Zealand. 0 In his farewell message Lord Galway expressed keen appreciation of the many kindnesses extended to his wife and himself during' their six years’ residence in the country.
