POISONING CASES
WOMAN FOUND DEAD HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 5. Mrs Mabel Cowman was found dead at,, her home about 10.50 a.m. to-day, and her husband, Norman Cowman, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 3.15 p.m. suffering from poisoning. Two daughters—Nola, aged eight years, and Shirley, aged three years —were admitted to hospital at 4.30 p.m. also suffering from poisoning. It is believed that Mrs Cowman’s death and the condition of her husband and daughters was caused by eating pipis. An inquest has been opened into the death of Mrs Cowman, and a post-mortem was ordered. The condition of those' in hospital is satisfactory.
