CHANGEABLE/BUT IMPROVING Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours,, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— South-west to west winds, still strong at times. Weather cold and changeable* with passing showers, but improving;: Seas rough south /of Nugget Vmt^:r J - Dominion Forecast.—Pressure is high to the north and west of New Zealand, and low to the south-east. Weather: Rather changeable, with bright -intervals, but occasional passing showers, more especially in west ern arid southern areas of the South Island: Temperatures moderate in the north; cold in the south. Weather In Dunedin.—The southwest wind continued to prevail yesterday, with moderate to strong force, and frequent heavy hail and rain squalls swept the city. Temperatures were of a wintry nature, varying from a minimum of 41 degrees to a maximum of 53 degrees.
