V FIISE BUT COLD Forecast for' Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago. covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued yesterday at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds. Some scattered rain in the north, but weather otherwise fair to find and . cold. Seas moderate to rather rough. Dominion Forecast. —A deep cyclone is developing rapidly west of New Plymouth and should pass across the southern part of the North Island during the next 12 to-24 hours. Weather fair in Southland and improving in Westland., Elsewhere dull with widespread rain. Stormy conditions likely from'Nelson and Marlborough northwards, with heavy rain at times snd later; a possibility of flooding.
