CHANGEABLE AND COOLER Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued yesterday at, 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to strong south-west winds. Weather changeable With periods of heavy showers and fair intervals. Temperatures cooler, seas rough. Dominion Forecast.-— A very, deep depression is centred south of the South Island but disturbances of a westerly type arc passing across the south Tasman Sea. Weather fair to cloudy east of the main ranges, elsewhere changeable with periods of heavy showers and fair intervals. Temperatures mild, becoming cooler. Moderate elsewhere, but becoming cooler in the south. Weather in Dunedin— There were passing clouds in the sky yesterday and a light north-east breeze prevailed. Temperatures went up to 64 degrees and at times the. weather was decidedly warm. The barometer was very low but rose slightly to 29.19 inches (988 millibars) at midnight.
