COLLISION IN SOMERSET HEAVV LIST OF CASUALTIES... (British Official Winiless) V RUGBY, Nov. 4. Twenty-four people were killed and 59 injured, 20 of them seriously, early to-day when an excursion passenger train from London to Penzance was derailed near Taunton (Somerset). The tragedy is' understood tovbe due to an accident to the track, causing the engine and several coaches to leave the rails. Between 30 and 40 of the injured are in hospital. A.R.P. services assisted in the rescue work, during which several ' sleeping children were brought but unhurt.
