TWO BRITISH VESSELS ARMED MERCHANT CRUISERS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY. Nov. 4. The Admiralty announces that the armed merchant cruisers Laurentic (18,724 tons) and Patroclus (11,314 ton) have been torpedoed and sunk. Reports so far received indicate that - the following number of survivors were rescued by H.M. ships:—Laurentic: Officers, 52; ratings, 316. Patroclus: Officers. 33; ratings, 230.
