GERMAN SUBMARINES

TWO RECENTLY SUNK (By Wireless) LONDON, Nov. 5. (Received Nov. 6, at 1 a.m.) A communique issued by the Admiralty announces that two German submarines were sunk recently, including the one which torpedoed the Empress of Britain while she was being towed to port after being bombed by a German plane. The Admiralty also says that the Windsor Castle, which the Germans claim to have bombed, is safe in port. The Germans announced that the ship had been attacked west of Ireland and that she was drifting helplessly. In point of fact the Windsor Castle came into port under her own steam and without injury to anyone on board.
