MOSGIEL DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL
Mr E. W. Cate presided at the monthly meeting of the Mosgiel School Committee, / The Education Board notified that, owing to the increase in the roll number, the Mosgiel District High School would be placed in Grade Via (sub-grade), as from February 1, 1941. The rector reported on the increased attendance at the school. This would necessitate additional accommodation and playing areas.—After a lengthy discussion it was decided to take steps in that direction with the authorities. The question of a school water supply was discussed at length, and various methods of supply in addition to the borough water service were examined. It was decided to hold a special meeting to further this matter in a week's time. Some correspondence from the Education Board about concrete paths at the school and routine matters were dealt with.
