NEW SOUTH WALES DEFICIT NO ADDITIONAL TAXATION SYDNEY. Oct. 17. Delivering the Budget last night in the New South Wales Assembly, the Treasurer (Mr A. Richardson) estimated that the deficit for the year would be £1,539,000. Mr Richardson explained that there would be no additional taxation. but remissions in taxation aggregating £500,000 would be made to oersons with dependents whose salaries did not exceed £4 5s a week, who would be exempt from pavment of wages and social services tax. Travelling concessions and other privileges granted to men in the fighting services and in training for home defence would cost the Government in the current year in the vicinity of £850.000.
