“B” FORCE

TROOPS LEAVE ON MONDAY PARADE BEFORE DEPARTURE Men of the “B" Force, who are at present on leave in Dunedin, are to depart for the north by special train at 11.35 on Monday morning. The men, who are attached to a special force selected from men at present in training, are to parade in Cumberland street opposite the Queen’s Gardens at 10.50, and while they are assembled there the good wishes of the citizens of Dunedin are to be extended to them by the Mayor (Mr A. H, Allen).

The men will then march to the north end of the railway station headed by the Artillery Band of the Southern Command. Only relatives of the men will be allowed access to the station. Tickets for next-of-kin may be obtained by men of this force on application to the Army Office, Kensington, or the Returned Soldiers’ Association. WAIOURU CAMP FIRST TROOPS NEXT MONTH (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND. Oct. 17. The first troops from the Northern Military District for the Waiouru military camp will be the First Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, now training at the Rotorua racecourse. The majority will trek by road, entering Waiouru about the middle of November. It is not expected that the infantry territorial units in the district will go to Waiouru before December.
