CLAIMED FOR NORWAY
WHOLE OF THE ANTARCTIC “ UNDER GERMAN CONTROL ” STOCKHOLM, Oct. 15. (Received Oct. 16, at 9.30 p.m.) Herr Lunde, th? German Propaganda Minister in Norway, claimed the whole of the Antarctic, including the South Pole, for Norway under German control. He declared that the isles bordering the Norwegian sea must be regarded as vital to German lebensraum and also the enormous territory where the Norwegian whalers operated.
