JAPANESE COMPANY LAND IN VERA CRUZ MEXICO CITY, Oct. 15. i ' (Received Oct. : 16, at 10. p.m.) ■ The Ministry of National Economy has granted five years’ exploration rights on 250.000 acres of land in the State 1 of Vera Cruz to the Japanese-controlled Vera Cruzana Petroleum Company Foreign oil circles say the region is not considered particularly promising.. , It is stated that the Ministry, because it is short of cash, might be forced to sell 20.000 tons of scrap iron 1 to Japan. ■'?’
