Her power to withstand the blockade for a long time is now being admitted. Experts here declare that Germany started .with the advantage that she entered the war with 1 the whole of hei- vast and complicated apparatus for, rationing ip operation and,,with, the population' accustomed to queues, inconvenience . and grumbling. Summed Up. what , the experts .believe is that Germany is in no danger of a food shortage, and the Reich’s complete .system of rationing ha? been a great aid in conserving supplies'and building up stocks.
