The Tainui Croquet Club was favoured with glorious weather for the opening of its lawns on Thursday last. The monthly meeting of the Queenstown branch of the P.W.M.U. was held bn Friday last. Miss D. K. Boyd presided and gave a short address on the subject of “ Labourers Together with God.” A request was made asking for helpers for hand-work in connection with the Busy Bee activities. Members were asked to take Christrpas parcels to the November meeting for the Maori mission field. This year the parcels will go to Taupo. It was decided to vote the sum cf £lO to the Building Fund from the proceeds of the variety stall at the recent flower show.
