PURCHASE OF AIRCRAFT
FURTHER GIFTS RECEIVED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Oct. 3. (Received Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.) Amongst the gifts towards the purchase of aircraft is one of £4 8s 6d and another of £54,000, the latter from the Nawab of Bhopal for the purchase of a flight of Spitfires and the former contribution from the South Oxford Council School in memory of an old boy airman who was killed in action. German refugee children in Kensington contributed 9s.
