CENTRAL OTAGO PRESBYTERY
MEETING AT ALEXANDRA At Us meeting at Alexandi'a on Thursday the Presbytery of Central Otago nominated the Rev. D. C. Herron. of Knox Church Dunedin as moderator-designate of the General Assembly for 1941-42. and appointed the following to represent it at the assembly at Palmerston North next month: —The ministers of Alexandra - Clyde. Mount Ida, Ida Valley, Queens town and Wanaka-Hawea districts, and the elders of Waipiata-Patearoa. Lauder, Teviot and Cromwell Churches. In the course of his report the youth convener, the Rev. N. C. Hall, recommended that the Bible Class Labour Day rally should be abandoned t.hi< year The contributions to the Centenar> Thanksgiving Fund had on the whole been good and in the aggregate the presbytery stood very well with the rest of the church. Two parishes had exceeded £6OO. one had reached £SOO and another nearly £4OO, Others however, had done very little. The Revs. D. D. Heggie and H VV West were appointed to represent the presbytery at the opening of the Kokonga Church early in December
