Friday, September 27 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M.) Motorists Charged Motorists charged with breaches of the traffic regulations were dealt with as follows, costs (unless otherwise stated) being fixed at 10s: —Israel Blackburn, failing to give way to tram, fined £2, with costs; Norman Yep,.> no warrant of fitness, fined 10s, with costs; New Zealand Express Company, overloading heavy traffic vehicle, fined £l, with costs; Ernest Henry White, affixing wrong numbers to motor vehicles, fined 10s, with costs; Bernard Walter Tremaine, unlicensed lorry, fined 10s, with costs; no certificate on lorry, convicted and discharged; Arthur William Williamson, no warrant of fitness, fined 10s, with costs; Alan Parkinson, speeding, convicted and discharged. Other Charges For allowing the chimney of his house to catch fire, Orthus Edward Bate was fined ss, with costs (3s). Austen was fined 10s, with costs (10s) and solicitor’s fee (£2 2s), and Max Neumann was convicted and ordered to pay costs (10s). Charged with keeping unregistered dogs, James Garrick and Norman Shaw were convicted and discharged.—On similar charges, Charles Samson was convicted and ordered to pay costs (10s).
