MANCHESTER UNITY
-An interesting evening was spent in the Loyal Princess Mary Lodge on Tuesday, N.G. Sister Longworth pre siding over a large attendance of mem--I'srs and visiting brethren. A new member was initiated, and another proposed for membership. The noble grand and the vice-grand were appointed as delegates to the district meeting. Loyal Centenary Lodge met on Monday evening, N.G. Bro. Pope presiding Opportunity was taken to discuss fully all the remits on the business paper for the district meeting. The N.G and D.P.’s Bros. McAllan and Lysaght were appointed to represent the lodge. Members of Loyal Caversham and ValleyLodges responded to the customary toast..
At its meeting on Thursday evening Loyal Albion Lodge entertained the members of all city juvenile and Port Chalmers juvenile branches. N.G. Bro. Poulter presided and welcomed the boys, together with three members of the Juvenile Council. The entertainment consisted of games, interspersed with vocal and instrumental items.
