SPRING FLOWERS

WAITEPEKA SHOW A very successful flower show was held last Saturday night.. There was a good collection ot cut blooms, and a special feature was Mrs Flett’s wonderful collection of spring blooms. Bran dips were the attraction of the evening for the children, and the competitions resulted as follows:—Lighting the candles: Mrs Kerr and Mr W. Kirk (23'candles). Peas in bottle; Mr H. Dovey. Doll’s name: Miss E. Mercer. Weight of cake (61b): Mrs A. Holden and Mr VV. Kirk. At 10 o’clock the floor was cleared and a dance was held, Mr Roger, the chairman of the show, being M.C.
