LITTLE BRITONS
VISAS'. IN AMERICA REPORTS OF DELAY DENIED WASHINGTON, July 9. The President's secretary, Mr Stephen Early, "emphatically" denied reports that delays were occurring in the issuing of' visas to English children. He pointed out that the present quota would permit the entry of 6500 a month. Nothing like that number was at present arriving, therefore the Government was not contemplating relaxing'the quota. Mr Early added: "We realise that time is the essence. If a bottleneck exists it is in the shipping facilities. It seems that Britain is sending what shipping is coming in this direction to Canada with enemy aliens."
