YACHTING
THE VAUXHALL CLUB The annual prize-giving of the Vauxhall Power Boat and Sailing Club was held in the Caledonian Society's rooms, when a good attendance of members and visitors from other clubs enjoyed a pleasant evening. Two of the original members, Mr Alex. Burt and Mr VV. H. Sell, were presented with lif? members' badges, in appreciation of their work for the club and yachting in general. Replying, Mr Burt expressed the opinion that a time .such as this, when a large number of the active members of the club and yachtsmen in general would be on active service, it was the duty of the older members to keep the sport alive. Mr J. Barton also expressed this view, and he saw no reason why this sport, or any other, should go into recess for the period of the war.
