Portugal’s Eighth Centennial A message from Lisbon states that Ambassadors and Ministers representing 34 countries presented their credentials to President Carmona on the occasion of Portugal’s eighth centennial celebrations of independence. President Carmona received the Duke of Kent, Lithuanian Communists A message from London states that the Lithuanian Government has legalised the Communist Party, which has been suppressed for 20 years.
