TAIERI POULTRY SHOW

SEVEN HUNDRED ENTRIES The entries for the annual show of the Taieri Poultry Society, to be held tomorrow, are very satisfactory. The open class poultry accounts for 48 entries, novice classes (unwashed) 2, utility classes 100 ducks 9, breeding pens 3, bantams 29 ’ fancy pigeons 32, flying homers 75. Norwich canaries 18, Yorkshire canaries 20, British birds 10, foreign finches 10, budgerigars 92, parrots 8, children’s pets 50 produce 68. eggs and honey 19, needlework 100. The show will be held in the Mosgiel Coronation Hall. Mr R. C. Wilson (Invercargill) will judge the poultry and bantams, Mr P. H. Winter the fancy pigeons. Mr Mark Anderson the flying homers. Mr Lpthaby the British birds, foreign finches, and budgerigars: Mr J- Williamson the produce, and Mrs Cairney the needlework and knitting.
