RAILWAY ACCIDENT
OPEN DOOR STRIKES TRAIN A NUMBER OF CASUALTIES SYDNEY, June 27. (Received June 28, at 0.30 a.m.) A railway accident occurred in the Newtown goods yard to-day, when one man wa§ killed and four women, three men, and two boys were injured, the chief injuries being broken limbs and severe lacerations. The accident was caused when a goods truck door suddenly swung open, striking a passing electric trairt. travelling in the opposite direction. The man killed was William Hatch, aged 52, driver of one of the trains. Heavy damage was caused to electric trains.
