ANOTHER LOUIS WALK-OVER NEW YORK, Mar. 29. (Received Mar. 31, at 7.30 p.m.) Joe Louis beat Paycheck by a technical knock-out in the second round at Madison Square Garden before a crowd of 20,000. Louis weighed in at 20(Ulb and Paycheck at 187;J, The crowd booed a hollow challenge which lasted 3min 44sec. Louis dropped Paycheck three times in the first round, twice with rights and once with a double-hander. In the second round, Louis stalked the retreating challenger, landed a left and then smashed a long, terrific right to the chin, which lifted Paycheck near the middle of the ring into the air. He collapsed flat on his back in a corner. The referee stopped counting at four and awarded the decision to Louis. The sports writers agree that Louis has regained his “ killer form.” They suggest that Paycheck was scared and that he landed only two blows. Paycheck said: ‘‘l remember nothing after the first right.” Louis said; “It was just a vacation.”
