GOVERNMENT OUSTED
SOVIET IN GEORGIA ACTION BY M. STALIN LONDON, Mar. 31. (Received Apl. 1, at 1 a.m.) A communique issued in Geneva says it is learned from Batum that M. Stalin has ousted the Soviet Government in Georgia and installed a military governor. The exiled Government’s representative, M. Chayichvile, said the news that Allied armies were assembling in Syria and Palestine increased resistance to the Soviet in the Transcauscasian republics. The Kremlin therefore forced the entire Georgian Soviet to resign and sent a heavy force of military police to support the new Governor. Visit to Poland Banned The Papal Nuncio in Berlin has informed the Vatican that the German Government refused him permission to visit German-occupied Poland in order to examine religious conditions there. It is understood that Herr von Ribbentrop in a recent interview with the Pope promised that these facilities would be granted.
