SUNDAY SERVICES
The Rev D. C. Herrbn will conduct both services at jKnQX-' Church tomorrow. The evening subject will be " Resource for Adventure." At First. Church; to-morrow, special services will mark' the ninety-second anniversary of church and province. Both services will be conducted, by the Rev W. AUen Stevely, and his subjects will be, in the.morning, "On Returning" (solo, " King ;. Ever •, Glorious"),''and in ■ the evening, "The King's Message." . The evening inusic will, include the anthem,.. "Eye Hath Not Seen." Choirmaster, Mr Alfred Walmsley; organist, Miss Mavis Macdonald. A special invitation has been given to the Eearly Settlers' Association and all old -friends of First Church, and his Worship the Mayor and councillors, with their, wives, have bt;en invited to attend f the evening service. At. St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church the morning service will.be taken by Mr John the evening service by Mr Kenneth Meikle. The Rev. Leslie B. Neale will conduct both ;.'at ..the Methodist Central Mission to-morrow, Mr Harold Robinson will be the soloist.
The preachers at the United Congregational Church will be Mr Robb in the morning and Mr Alex Mitchell in the evening The services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow; will be * conducted by the Rev. J. Ewen Simpson. The .morning- subject will be •' The Power of His Resurrection," and the evening subject, "What Only Faith Can See."
A special visitor from Wellington in the person of. Colonel (Padre) Walls, the National Young People's secre-tary-'will conduct the meeting at the Dowling Street Citadel of the Salvation Army to-morrow at 11 a.m. The colonel, who saw long service at the front during the last war, is an inspiring and interesting speaker and has a special message for all vistiors to this city. • . ..
At the Theosophical Society, Mr J. M. McEwan will give the third of his series, of lectures on the duties, rights, and privileges of man, his title being "A Civilisation Based on Brotherhood." . Mrs Gertrude Brooks will, conduct to-morrow's service at the Greater World Mission. Her subject will be "A Man of Sorrows." Clairvoyance will be held. " -S ■ -
Easter services will be conducted at the Spiritualist Church by Mrs Parker. She will speak on "An Easter-Vision."
