RECALLED FROM ABROAD
TURKISH MERCHANTMEN THE REPORT CONFIRMED LONDON, Feb. 28. The Istanbul correspondent of the Havas Agency confirms Turkey’s recall of merchantmen from abroad. The Turkish naval mission which went to Hamburg to take delivery of the merchantmen which Germany has been building has gone to Paris. Germany authorised their delivery, but refused to give any guarantee outside German waters. “A FALSE INTERPRETATION w ISTANBUL, Feb. 28. It is officially stated that the report that all Turkish merchantmen have been recalled is “ a false interpretation of the order issued some time ago calling home certain ships needed in Turkish waters.” ENGINEERING STUDENTS COURSES IN BRITISH YARDS ANKARA, Feb. 28. Forty Turkish students have been recalled from Germany and are going to Britain to take up their engineering courses in British shipyards.
