FORECAST FOR OTAGO CHANGE FROM THE SOUTH The following special weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at 5 p.m. yesterday:— Moderate to fresh west to northwest winds predominating. Weather fair at first and mild, but becoming unsettled again later from the south. Seas slight to moderate. DOMINION FORECAST CLOUDY AND UNSETTLED The following 'is the official weather forecast for the Dominion: — Pressure is high to the north-east. A depression lies across the centre of the Dominion, and another is approaching across the South Tasman Sea. Indications are for: — Winds. —Moderate to fresh winds from between south-west and north-we'st predominating over the South Island, and fresh to strong northerlies to westerlies over the North Island. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Rather rough to rough on the West Coast and about Cook Strait; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong winds from a north-westerly quarter, with a change to south-westerly advancing later from the south; seas rather rough. Weather.—Cloudy and unsettled in western areas, with mist or fog in places, and scattered drizzle or rain; some heavy falls are still likely in Westland and the central provinces: fair in eastern districts, but with showers extending later from the south: temperatures moderate in the south, and mild' to warm in, the north.
